Aaron In Year 2 is learning some tricky sight words to help develop his reading fluency. We have made a collection of his favourite Minions on the back of my door, wearing the tricky words on their foreheads! Aaron enjoys practicing reading these words daily.
Michael in Year 2 chose Room on the Broom by Julia Donaldson as one of his favourite picture books. We read it together and talked about the pictures as we read. Michael was able to join in the repetition. We enjoyed seeing how scared the dragon was of the “monster”!In the picture Michael is showing his favourite page when disaster strikes the broom.
Kady in Yr 2 has been sharing some picture books. She loves this one about the bad wolf hunting for Preston pig. It involves lifting flaps but sneaky Preston is not where you’d expect him to be! The repetition of the words means that it is easy to join in.Kady loves helping me to read it and can now read it to herself quite close to the text.
Cherry Y2 is really enjoying using her reading skills to explore new books . Here she is reading about Spot’s adventure at the seaside.
